One of the many great things I like about Capital One is that you can fill out a simple online pre-qualification form to see if you qualify for any of their many credit card offerings.
Pre-qualifying does not count against you as a hard inquiry so they do not hurt your credit score in any way by applying for credit using this method.
The form requires about 60 seconds of basic identification such as your name, address and social security number along with your annual salary and monthly rent or mortgage payment.
By pre-qualifying, you can know in just seconds which cards, if any, that you qualify for and feel confident about applying for them without fear of rejection.
I have personally used this method to apply for all three of my Capital One credit cards and each time that I pre-qualified, I was approved for the card that I selected.
